 "The Development Team works to support and develop community initiatives and voluntary sector infrastructure across Lancashire" Work areas covered: - Enabling and supporting community participation;
- Working with service providers to secure continued access to services such as transport, village shops and post offices;
- Research into service provision and identifying funding for initiatives;
- Attract resources to increase activities and sustainability in communities;
- Work with groups to enable them to develop projects;
- Provide support for the development of voluntary sector initiatives working in close association with other agencies;
- Ensure that the interests of the voluntary sector in Lancashire are maintained and enable effective liaison between statutory and voluntary organisations;
- Administration of grant funds to support Community and Social Enterprise projects.
