Community Planning in progress

There are currently 25 parish and town plans being undertaken throughout Lancashire. Grants have been recently awarded to Medlar with Wesham Town Council and the following 11 Parish Councils: Barrowford, Ulnes Walton, Balderstone & Osbaldeston, Samlesbury, Grindleton, Altham, Tatham, Earby, Hesketh with Becconsall and Newton.

With the aim of creating a more solid evidence base of information resulting from community planning, Community Futures has requested that all new questionnaires incorporate a set of standard questions. This will assist communities in providing a baseline of evidence across the county, leading to an improved picture of issues affecting communities. This initiative will also assist local authorities and service providers with improved coordinated information which will help influence future work.
